Mai (11-13 Uhr)</b> wird Prof. Dr. Tina Nobis uns Ergebnisse eines von ihr und Dr. Nihad El-Kayed durchgeführten Forschungsprojekts zu Othering in und durch sportbezogene Forschung über Migrationsgesellschaften vorstellen. Sie sind alle herzlich eingeladen, an der Veranstaltung teilzunehmen und im Anschluss an den Vortrag mit zu diskutieren. Moderiert wird die Brown Bag Session von Prof. Dr. Helen Schwenken. </span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Abstract zur Präsentation: „Wir und die Anderen: Othering in und durch sportbezogene Forschung über Migrationsgesellschaften“:</span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Über die Bedeutung und Rolle von Sport in Migrationsgesellschaften wird speziell seit den 2000er Jahren intensiv geforscht und diskutiert. In dem Vortrag wird die <span style='color:black'>Frage aufgegriffen, ob und inwiefern Forschung in diesem Themenfeld zur Konstruktion und Reproduktion „der Anderen mit Migrationshintergrund“ beiträgt. Dieser Prozess des Otherings, in dessen Zuge Bilder über „die migrantischen Anderen“ aufgerufen und zusehends institutionalisiert werden, wird am Beispiel der empirisch ausgerichteten sportbezogenen Diversitätsforschung diskutiert. Auf der Grundlage von qualitativen Inhaltsanalysen deutschsprachiger Publikationen, die sich in den letzten zehn Jahren mit dem Thema „Sport in Migrationsgesellschaften“ befasst haben, wird zum einen gezeigt, dass Othering in einer beträchtlichen Anzahl an wissenschaftlichen Beiträgen auftritt. Zum anderen werden unterschiedliche Formen, über die sich Othering in den analysierten Publikationen manifestiert, herausgearbeitet und diskutiert. Der Vortrag nimmt auf Ergebnisse eines Forschungsprojekts Bezug, das Nihad El-Kayed und Tina Nobis gemeinsam konzipiert und durchgeführt haben.</span></span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Tina Nobis ist Juniorprofessorin für "Sport, Integration und Migration" am Berliner Institut für empirische Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (BIM). Derzeit verwaltet sie den Arbeitsbereich Sport und Gesellschaft am Fachbereich Erziehungs- und Kulturwissenschaften der Uni Osnabrück.
