[Muwisys] Foreword for scores

Dear members of the list,

when we began publishing study scores seven years ago, we did not wonder if
our plans would work. In our simple view there was an urgent need for saving
a lot of music from oblivion ... and we had not only the wish to start
something new, but the means too - a printing machine, an affordable
bookbinder and above all many friends among musicians and music lovers. From
the beginning one thing was clear: Our personal idealism can start the
enterprise but to flourish it needed the idealism of many collaborators.
Finding enough people working voluntarily to establish this activity should
be the touchstone, if there really is a necessity for reviving this music.
Founded on this principle our cataloque has developed to about  900 scores
within seven years..

We are very happy about it. In this spirit please find below the
compositions we prepare for publication. If you want to write a preface for
one of these works or help as a translator, please do not hesitate to
contact us:

The scores will be published in our study score series REPERTOIRE EXPLORER,
an edition of unjustly neglected works, which are no longer available or
were never available before. This project is a direct response to  the
unfortunate fact, that the repertoire of classical music is shrinking every
day and most of the little known pieces become unknown rapidly. If you want

PS: The choice of music announced above is based on suggestions of music
lovers and experts from all over the world. If there is music that is a
burning issue for you to be reprinted, please tell us.  Only two conditions
should be considered: The composer must be public domain (died before 1940),
the composition is not available in study score format.
