Legal precarity, mobility, and the criminalization of migrants complicate the study of forced migration and exile. Traditional methodologies can obscure both the agency of displaced people and hierarchies of power between researchers and research participants. Documenting Displacement critically assesses the ways in which knowledge is co-created and reproduced through narratives in spaces of displacement, advancing a creative, collective and interdisciplinary approach.

nach vier erfolgreichen DeZIM-Nachwuchstagungen (2018 am IMIS, 2019 am InzentIM, 2020/21 online), die sich speziell an Promovierende und PostDocs richteten, veranstalten die DeZIM-Forschungsgemeinschaft und das DeZIM-Institut in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal eine gemeinsame Tagung, die sich disziplinen?bergreifend an Wissenschaftler:innen aller Erfahrungs- und Karrierestufen richtet. Die Konferenz ist f?r den 6./7. Oktober 2022 in Berlin geplant (in Pr?senz) mit Auftakt f?r junge Wissenschaftler*innen am 5. Oktober.

Liebe Kolleg*innen,

 

am 6. und 7. Oktober 2022 wird das Deutsche Zentrum f?r Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (DeZIM) zum ersten Mal die DeZIM-Tagung durchf?hren. 

Gastgeber der Tagung ist das Berliner Institut f?r empirische Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (BIM) an der Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin. 

 

Wissenschaftler*innen verschiedener Disziplinen der DeZIM-Forschungsgemeinschaft und des DeZIM-Instituts sowie anderer Forschungseinrichtungen, welche zu Integration und Migration sowie den Schwerpunkten Konsens und Konflikt, gesellschaftlicher Teilhabe und Rassismus forschen, werden dazu aufgerufen, sich mit theoretischen, empirischen oder methodischen Beitr?gen zu bewerben. 

 

Das DeZIM ermutigt alle interessierten Wissenschaftler*innen, Vorschla?ge fu?r individuelle Paper und Panels einzureichen. Abgabefrist ist der 15. April 2022. 

 

Im Vorfeld der DeZIM-Tagung findet am Mittwoch, den 5. Oktober 2022 ein Nachwuchstreffen fu?r Wissenschaftler*innen der DeZIM-Forschungsgemeinschaft und des DeZIM-Instituts statt. Mehr Informationen dazu folgen.

On 6 and 7 October 2022, DeZIM will bring together researchers and scholars who are involved in integration and migration research in Germany. The 2022 DeZIM Conference will be hosted by the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at the Humboldt University of Berlin. 

 

Academics from the DeZIM Research Community, DeZIM Institute, and other institutions who conduct research on integration and migration are encouraged to apply. We look forward to hosting excellent papers and panels across the research fields of integration and migration including interesting theoretical, methodological, and empirical aspects. 

 

DeZIM encourages and welcomes individual applications for papers and panels. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 15 April 2022. 

 

Before the conference, an informal get-together for early-career scholars and young researchers will be organized on Wednesday 5 October 2022. More information will follow.
