Geo-Government wird in diesem Kontext als Schnittstelle zwischen Geoinformatik und E-Government verstanden, also als das gesamte IT-gestützte Verwaltungshandeln, bei dem der Raumbezug in Form von Geoinformationen eine wichtige bzw. entscheidende Rolle spielt. Es sind Lehrveranstaltungen in den Studiengängen der Lehreinheit Geoinformatik und Vermessung sowie in anderen Studiengängen der Hochschule zu halten. Im Bereich der Forschung und Entwicklung wird eine Mitarbeit im Forschungsinstitut i3mainz erwartet, das Institut steht hierbei mit seiner Infrastruktur und einer Vielzahl von Kooperationspartnern zur Verfügung. Die Stelleninhaberin oder der Stelleninhaber sollte im Wesentlichen in folgenden Themenfeldern über umfassende Kenntnisse und praktische Erfahrungen verfügen: IT-gestützte Prozesse der öffentlichen Verwaltung Interoperabilität und Standardisierung Intelligente (Geo-) Informationsverarbeitung Die Bereitschaft Lehrveranstaltungen in den Grundlagenfächern und im berufsbegleitenden Masterstudiengang abzuhalten sowie die Mitarbeit in der akademischen Selbstverwaltung werden vorausgesetzt.
