Announcement

Selected young researchers and PhD students coming from "southern countries" will be funded (a participation to the travel, registration and lodging costs) to participate to the PhD and young researchers conference (June 18 and 19) AND to participate to the GEOBIA2018 conference.
Application :
The candidates will present (1) their thesis or their research project (3 pages) ;
(2) a CV + (3) a motivation letter (1 page).

The conference GEOBIA 2018  will be preceded by a two days PhD Colloquium on  New Ways of Satellite Image Acquisition and Operational GEOBIA processing using eCognition and ORFEO ToolBox.

CALL FOR ABSTRACT - SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED
  to January 3th !

The GEOBIA community is organizing the 7th edition of its international symposium on GEOgraphic-Object-Based Image Analysis (GEOBIA),  a newly evolving sub-discipline of GIScience devoted to partitioning remote sensing (RS) imagery into meaningful image-objects, and assessing their characteristics through spatial, spectral and temporal scale.
GEOBIA’18 ( https://www.geobia2018.com/) is expected to gather scientists, professionals and users, from academia, industry, the public sector and government from all over the world. GEOBIA'18 will continue to be a platform to present research and development on the traditional topics: theory/concept, methods/algorithm and OBIA applications. Special focus will cover today challenges as big data integration, open sources solution, cloud analyses, semantic and knowledge integration.
The theme of this edition is "GEOBIA in a changing World - From pixels to Ecosystems and Global Sustainability ».
An Internet-based GEOBIA Survey  on Key Research Priorities will be launched through the symposium website.

– Wednesday 22th June - afternoon: Side Evenst GEOBIA

·      Selection of proposed side event subjects: until January 6, 2018
