At the University of Salzburg, Department of Geoinformatics, we have two open positions in the field of Geographic Information Science and GeoAI. Both openings are in the field of Geographic Information Science and candidates should have an interest in at least one of the mentioned fields: Spatial Data Science, Geospatial Artificial Intelligence, GeoKnowledge Graphs, spatial Linked Data.

Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg is a great university with lots of opportunities especially at the Faculty for Digital and Analytical Sciences, of which the Department of Geoinformatics is part of. Hence, there are lots of collaboration opportunities with other departments from the same faculty. The Department of Geoinformatics (www.zgis.at<http://www.zgis.at/>) offers a vibrant research environment with 7 dynamic research areas  and one Christian-Doppler Laboratory, and is one of the Europe's largest departments in GIScience.

Both positions will be part of the new research group of Johannes Scholz (former Technical University Graz). The job ads are below:
