Das Forschungsprojekt "Informationsstrukturen in der Musik" befasst
sich mit der Modellierung musikalischer Strukturen mit Methoden der
Informatik. Zwei verschiedene Ansaetze werden verfolgt: ein
regelbasierter Ansatz mit generativen Grammatiken und ein
lernbasierter Ansatz, der neuronale Netze verwendet, um musikalische
Strukturen und Stile aus Musikbeispielen zu lernen. Falls Sie mehr

Als besonderes HIGHLIGHT bieten wir eine CGI Schnittstelle an, ueber
die Sie eigene Melodien eingeben und durch das neuronale System
HARMONET online harmonisieren lassen koennen. HARMONET wurde im
Verlauf der Projektarbeit entwickelt und verwendet vorwaertsgekoppelte
neuronale Netze, um Choralmelodien im Stile J.S. Bachs zu
harmonisieren.

The research project "Information Structures in Music" deals with the
modeling of musical structure with methods used in computer
science. Two different approaches are considered: a rule-based
approach using generative grammars and a learn-based approach using
neural networks to learn musical structure and style from musical
examples. If you are interested in getting to know more about the

As a special HIGHLIGHT we offer a CGI interface where you may enter
your own melodies to be harmonized on-line by our neural system
HARMONET. HARMONET has been developed in the course of the project and
uses feedforward neural networks to harmonize chorale melodies in the
style of J.S. Bach.
