JUNIOR PROFESSORSHIP IN GEOINFORMATICS @ MUENSTER GERMANY

The Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) at the University of Muenster has an opening for a Junior Professorship (W1) in Geoinformatics, starting on 1st of October 2016 or at the earliest possible date thereafter.



Applicants should have an outstanding PhD in Geoinformatics or a related discipline and should have a track record of additional research in at least one innovative area related to Geoinformatics. Of particular interest are the following areas of research: * geodata analysis, in particular analysis of big geospatial data, trajectories, movement data or 3D point clouds * visual analytics * remote sensing, time series analysis * sensor data and sensor networks * volunteered geographic information * geosemantics and linked spatio-temporal data * geosimulation.
